Unleash the power within you!

Most people think that solutions lie outside themselves.

The truth is that the solutions lie within.

Our own 'self' or 'inner-being' knows everything about us.

It holds all of the answers we need, if we would just be still for a moment and listen.

We are the experts in our own lives.

Meditation  connects us  with our inner being;  to a state of serene awareness and perfect presence.

What are the benefits of meditating?

Scientists are beginning to study the physiological and psychological benefits of meditation, including improved mental health.

Before learning to meditate, I was totally at the whim of the world outside myself.

It wasn't until I learnt to meditate that I was able to quieten my over-active mind and learn to be fully present. This had a profound effect on me and how I showed up in the world.

It changed my life.

Now I never make important decisions without meditating and connecting with my inner-self first. This has made me more calm and overwhelm is quickly banished .

How can I begin meditating?

Using an 'app' or YouTube video to meditate is not the same as a live guided session. It just isn't.

I tried these different things for years until in 2018, frustration led me to find a group run by a Buddhist monk.

He taught me how to meditate and later how to help others to do the same.

I feel that it is part of my life's mission to help people connect with themselves and in doing so, overcome stress.

What happens when you meditate?

The first time I meditated, I had tears streaming down my cheeks.  It was then that I realised that I had tapped into something quite powerful.

On another occasion, I was so relaxed that I lost all sensation in my body and had to think about how I was going to scratch my face!    It was a very strange experience. It was as though I had become completely 'spirit' .

People respond in different ways to meditation. It is not a 'magic bullet' but if you practise on a regular basis, you will definitely feel the long-term benefits.

What happens if I fall asleep?

If you fall asleep during meditation, it simply means that you were tired and had not given your body the chance to rest.

It is also perfectly normal to drift in and out of the meditative state during the session for a variety of reasons. Sometimes it is due to external distractions such as noise.
